But it's not easy.

During the pandemic, dog schools have been closed.

Some people don't have time to drive a long way to a dog school.

Some won't even have dog schools based on positive motivation nearby.

Maybe after a long and hard day you don’t have the energy to attend dog training classes, especially in cold or rainy weather.

But here's the thing, your puppy doesn’t need endless hours of training and constant repetition of boring exercises. Puppies learn very quickly, and most effectively through short simple exercises and games. Just a few times a day for a few minutes is all it takes!

This is how Dogstar Puppy came about.

It is a home based program comprising of exercises and games that have been specially prepared, for you and your puppy to practice in your own familiar environment and in real-life everyday situations, with very little time commitment needed.

I’m a graduate psychologist and psychotherapist by profession. I’ve also been a dog trainer for the past 15 years.

I live in Slovenia, small and beautiful country in Europe. 

In recent years, I have taught hundreds of puppies at my dog school, while also offering behavioral consultations. I’ve organized many seminars and workshops with international experts in the field of canine learning and psychology. 

I am also the mother of two children, aged 3 and 7.

And a dog mom to Australian Shepherd Star, who is also the star of this online course.

Most dog schools only focus on specific areas. The problem is that when we focus too much on one area, we easily overlook other important areas.

Example: if we only focus on obedience and don't teach the dog how to calm down, he may have problems with hyperactivity or frequent barking and lunging at other dogs due to constantly elevated levels of stress hormones.

This is why we take a unique approach that covers all the development needs for your dog to be healthy and happy - which in turn will create a more pleasant experience for you as a dog owner!
